Refresco is a global contract manufacturer and co-packer of beverages for leading retail chains and global brand owners. Refresco has almost 70 production plants in Europe, North America and Mexico and employs more than 14.000 people. Refresco has long-standing relationships with its customers supporting them on material planning, procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, fulfilment and distribution.
Refresco was founded in 1999 and since then consistently doubled its turnover every five years. In February this year, KKR took a majority stake in Refresco. KKR provides Refresco with access to capital and a network to support the growth ambitions and M&A strategy of the company. Refresco has the ambition to grow with their customers, including expanding into new categories and geographies.
The role of Global Procurement Manager Ingredients
On the back of many years of growth, the Ingredients team now needs to be strengthened. As a result of this, the role of Global Procurement Manager Ingredients has been created. You will report to the Head of Procurement Ingredients, who will hand over responsibilities for a selected number of categories to this new role. The Head of Procurement Ingredients reports to the CPO. The Global Procurement Team under leadership of the CPO is responsible for all sourcing and procurement. The operational supply chain is organised by country.
Purpose of the role is to source and contract selected ingredient categories for the Refresco operations worldwide. These categories include flavours, compounds, colourants and vitamin blends. You focus on building and maintaining long term competitive relationships with your suppliers and internal customers. You secure competitiveness in cost and innovation.

The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial; you move walls yourself rather than waiting for others to do so. You have a flexible mindset, a good sense of timing and progress your own good ideas rather than waiting for full sponsorship. At the same time is the ideal candidate an intellectual thinker and a structured hands on do-er. You take your responsibilities seriously, make sure you do the right things and learn from your mistakes.
Your analytical skills are well developed, you like dealing with complexity and you are keen in researching local markets and finding new suppliers.
You need to manage the internal organisation in the best interest of the company. Speed and agility is everything. You like freedom to operate and independence in the role. You work best with a manager who is easily accessible and provides backup and support when needed.

The ideal candidate has a relevant Master degree and commercial experience, is result oriented, a good team worker with leadership skills and also coaching others. You are a self starter, seeing opportunities and taking initiative to deliver. You have a strong vision and good strategic thinking completed with sound judgement and robust decision making. Your behaviour is flexible, depending on the situation. English is essential, other additional languages are a benefit.
